Gay Men and Mental Health

Presentation will address various mental health issues impacting todays gay and bisexual men. Such mental health topics that will be discussed are mood disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder, both single episode and recurrent, Dysthymia, Bipolar I and II), symptoms associated with mood disorders (e.g., suicide, disruption in eating pattern and sleeping patterns), substance abuse disorders (e.g., alcohol abuse and dependence, and "party" drugs), mental health resources within the DC metro area, and positive coping skills.
