The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence present: 30 years of PlayFair! with a skills-based component of One-on-One Harm Reduction Encounters, Sister-style.

2012 is the 30th anniversary of PlayFair!, the world's first gay male sex positive safer-sex pamphlet providing life-saving information with humor, which was co-created by Sister Florence Nightmare (aka Bobbi Campbell, RN), Sister Roz Erection and some community-minded clinicians such as Dr. Tom Waddell. This year, we are re-releasing PlayFair! and updating it to ensure we address the most current issues of concern to our community health. Our presentation will start with a brief Sistory of why PlayFair! and why we updated it. How our current bar and street ministry has informed the new document. We will follow the presentation with a demonstration of our bar ministry, particularly selecting difficult encounters we have had and how our Sisters have used our approach to community health to inform our encounters. Finally, we will break out the room (depending on how many nuns are able to attend the Summit and how many participants attend the session) to provide skills training in our particular brand of outreach. With enough time, we will brainstorm how these skills can be brought back to other communities without a Sister presence - or help individuals who are contemplating forming a Missionary Order in their own community.
